  • You are correct- as a matter of fact, not only have these employees not been hired yet, they haven't even been born! They are required to fund these benefits 75 years in advance. A burden that no other agency or corporation has to bear.

  • No they don't. FedEx and UPS use the USPS to deliver some of their mail. FedEx and UPS do not deliver everywhere the USPS does.

  • $1000.00 per month before taxes, after 30 years of working is not what I would consider "sweet". In addition, these employees contribute every payday to their retirement and do not collect Social Security.

  • It is not your mail carrier's fault. Management has eliminated employees, consolidated routes, etc. Your mail carrier is probably performing the work by herself that 3 or 4 people used to do. Poor management is the cause and the customer is the one paying the price.
